Cincinnati Wins Big in District 5 ADDYs

AdClub Cincinnati Tops the Chart in District 5 ADDY® with Best of Show Award plus 7 Gold, 14 Silver and 4 Student Silver ADDYs


Winning in the second tier of a three tier competition, AdClub Cincinnati claimed 26 ADDY winners in the AAF District 5 ADDY competition, including the following:

The District 5 ADDY Best of Show Award went to Cincinnati’s Neltner Creative for "Charlie Louvin: Still Rattlin' The Devil's Cage," a mixed media campaign

The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the ADDY competition is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. The local ADDY Awards is the first of a three-tier, national competition where, concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners in one of 15 district competitions. Today’s announcement comes from AAF District 5, the district covering all advertising clubs and federations in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.

District 5 winners will be forwarded to the third tier, the national ADDY Awards competition. The National ADDY winners will be honored at ADMERICA! 2012 the evening of June 5 in Austin, Texas.

Unlike many advertising awards competitions - such as the Clios or the Cannes Lions – the ADDY competition provides financial support to the entire industry. That is because the AAF and its local and district affiliates use the proceeds to enhance advertising through programs such as public service, internships, advocacy groups, advertising education, and consumer awareness.
